Guest guest
Kaari, Hi! I'm sorry to hear about your seizure. I grew up with a brother who was epileptic and was amazed and proud of how well he did without a drivers' license. You can incorporate exercise into your daily regime without the benefit of a gym. For those that have gym memberships that's great however those that can't for whatever reason there are a variety of options available to you. Kaari, you can walk and walk and walk! Always the best form of exercise in my opinion! You can add hand weights to your walk. Even if you can't afford hand weights you can carry items that will add weight to your workout. There are plenty of tapes available as well if you look through your tv guide you can record or do live the plenty of exercise programs that are now available on tv. I'm sure there are much more creative folk here than I am that have better suggestions for you. But truly, I believe you can get in your needed exercise without needing a car. Take care and Best Wishes, Becky in CA

Guest guest
Sorry to hear about your seizure . I agree with Becky. Walk. Even if the weather isn't cooperating, WATP (Walk Away The Pounds) is great! You don't need a lot of space. Just enough to be able to take about 2 steps front, back, left and right. You don't have to get the fancy sets, there are indivdual ones you can get for around $5 at WallyWorld, Target, Best Buy, etc. You can use soup cans, flour bags, water jugs, etc. as weights for strength training. Even using your own body weight can accomplish a lot. Just really focus on engaging the muscles. As far as goals, start with baby ones. WW has their 10% difference. So start with that. Either 10% of your current weight or break your loss goals into 5 pound increments. Focus on that, and then the next 5 pounds, etc. Same with eating, work on one meal at a time or one temptation at a time. Then before you know it, you'll be at goal and will have accomplished what you want. Get 3x5 cards or print out on your computer and post where you can see them. Post them here. We can help you be accountable or if you have a friend who can be your buddy. > > hello all > Throughout the entire year I have been seeing people > posting about their loses.
