Guest guest
I wouldn't rule out shots but a few other ideas -ear infection- sucking is bothering his ears -teething- yes its possible at 12 weeks, gums could hurt - fenugreek makes some people gassy and the runs, I couldn't take it while nursing as it bothered both me and my son, tell her to try Red Raspberry Leaf, lots of water, oatmeal and maybe rent/borrow a pump to stimulate supply or hand express to keep supply up, and contact her local La Leche League -maybe remove gluten from her diet too? If she does think its shots, she can buy a detox, a company called Nature's Sunshine makes a good one, but she might be able to find one locally. Guest guest
1. No more shots, no matter what. 2. Try some probiotics on her nipples before he nurses and see if that helps the gas, etc. 3. she can take vitamin C 250-500 mg 3-4 times a day, and magnesium 100-200 mg 3-4 times a day and it will be good for both of them. Guest guest
It is also possible that the baby is lactose intolerant. My youngest was lactose intolerant. He was a big baby with a huge appetite. He became jaundiced from my milk when he was about 8 or 9 days old and, at 10 days old, he quit nursing completely for a couple of days. After that, he took a bottle and only breastfed a few minutes a day (for the immune benefits) until he was 6 weeks old. He would get diarhea every few weeks and I would put him on soy formula, which is really what he should have been on full time. I took him to a doctor for his severe diarhea when he was only about 4 months old and the doctor really wasn't helpful. So lactose intolerance is something that a doctor may overlook. It isn't a big problem after the child is old enough to eat solid food but can be a very serious problem in a baby that is still primarily dependent upon milk. For that he does not really need a college. He can learn them from books. The value of an education in a liberal arts college is not learning of many facts but the training of the mind to think something that cannot be learned from textbooks. -Albert Einstein
