Guest guest
Dr Byers told me to take vitamin C, cause it's suppose to help strengthen joints. I've been taking it (ester C) and I think it's helping! I've also been really slowing down, and concentrating on not hyperextending in everything I do, so that may be helping too. I'm also paying attention to how I sit and sleep. Before, I'd be in weird positions, usually with my arms up and my shoulders pulling, but I wouldn't change position, even though it hurts. Now, I'm laying on my back, and not crossing my legs, and so on. It takes a lot of thought, as I notice that even just reaching for something, I hyperextend. Now, I'm telling myself to move a little closer to whatever I'm reaching for, and things like that. It's amazing how much strain I've been putting on my body all these years. Even when I'm brushing my teeth, I notice I'm doing it with such force and strain - straining my jaw, tightening my arm - into my shoulder - it's really weird. Slow down, move closer, pay attention to my body and what I'm doing to it. I really think it's helping!
