Hey a,

I laugh when you describe Karl...... is very much a

structured person...he hates change! But like you I'm use to it and

over look it pretty much. I chalk it up to being 18 and wanting to be

on his own. Like you I have learned to deal with it and I don't find

it a problem anymore.

He has learned it is better to agree with me than buck the system

because as he puts it " I hold the key to his freedom"...*L*

Your a great Mom and I admire you so much! Congrats on Felicity!

That's great!

Love you!

that's when he eats, not five till or five after. He just can't handle

he hates that. Just because whatever he can have, he wants the

11, and so on and so on. Goofy kid. Thankfully like I said, we have

lots of grown ups here so I can always take a time out myself. Before

we got our babies, because they couldn't get to concept, I used to have

a "mom's in time out" sign that I would stick on my back when it was

getting a little rough. Those kids would not have talked to me at that

time if the house was on fire, I think. They knew that they had pushed

to far and I needed a break. Just ten minutes, but enough to breathe.

Now they are all older and when they see Karl cranking up they run for

the hills and play video games or go outside.

Dorothy,

Good Luck with the med review! I was also told had

ODD....but I really don't think he does. He's pretty easy to get along

with. Good Luck!

a C., Well, your innards sound like mine were. I had had a seven-plus pound cyst and left ovary

removed at the age of 29, and then at 35 had to have a complete hysterectomy. The rest of my

innards had done something very similar to yours, but an additional "growth" of blood vessels, nerves

and odd bits and pieces had grown like an octopus and attached itself to the outside of the uterine

wall, and then like Ivy started choking everything off. Very weird. Almost like Invasion of the Body

Snatchers...I started looking for pods in the basement.

Anyhow, when the surgery was over, my OB/GYN stood clear against the wall away from the foot of

my hospital bed and said, "Well, Mike, there's good news and bad news. The good news is that there

is no sign of cancer. (He then told me about the strange growths they removed.) The bad news is

that I think I felt some gall stones while I was looking around in there." Strangely, my gall bladder

has never given me any trouble, and the latest tests last month show no stones. Isn't that funny?

So, our bodies are just strange, strange, strange. I really believe that Lupus causes some of the

most off-the-wall things to happen inside us. No wonder doctors can't figure it out. WE don't know

what's happening to us half the time, either.

My Rheumy says she thinks as I do that until the medical profession understands that a form of alien

invastion has taken place in our bodies, they will never begin to understand the nature of Lupus. That is it much more than "just an autoimmune problem", as so many docs are so fond of saying.

She is involved in a lot of research projects, and I always pump her for information when I'm in for

my visits. I bet I get a call from her pretty soon when she gets copies of all the tests that are being

done on me these days. She keeps up on her patients pretty well. More than can be said for a lot

of them.

Don't know what set me talking this morning. Guess I missed out for two days and had to say a lot

to make up for it. LOL Take care, honey. Love, MM

Especially when he found out the reason for the hysterectomy was the

bleeding for a solid year and that when they did an ultra sound things

looked okay, but once they got inside they found that every thing in my

didn't mean for that one to go so long, see you can never shut me up!

lol I am sorry you got a hang over, specially if you didn't get the

LOL you know what? I am going to try my best this summer to take care of these problems I have been having while all of our older kids are home and can help a little. I like it when people send me long posts, that way I am not the only one and also you described so closely what I went through that it feels nice to have someone almost like me! My sister inlaw was here the other day and was complaining that her period lasts a whole seven days and her friends don't. I was like, lady, do you know what I would have done to have normal ones? I started at thirteen and had my first cyst and my appendix out at fourteen and it was trouble since. I jumped for joy when they did my hysterectomy. It sounds like you are doing better, is that the case? Or wishful thinking on my part?

a C., Well, I am not hungover any more and that's a plus. I am still so tired I look like Tim Conway in the old Carol Burnett show when he played that old man whose feet were going like sixty,

but he was only making about an inch an hour. LOL I'll be glad when I get some answers and know

where I stand with any possible surgeries, etc. I am not good at waiting in limbo. Not a patient

patient at all.

I also celebrated when I had my hysterectomy. I went t hrough hell from the age of twelve on up.

I was never so glad to see anything go away as that uterus. Never missed it a bit, either. Hugs, MM
