Guest guest
Wynn Davies is said to be one of the two best docs in the UK. St 's was the hospital that Flemming worked in discovering antibiotics. It's a bit run down now but who cares if you are having an ablation. Please post on what your experiences are as we do not hear much from the UK lately. C Uk Re: Re: ablation Re: ablation I`m in for an ablation at St `s in October, under Dr Wynn Davies team and have waited 8 months ....quite good I thought. > Hi! > Anyone know what the state of play with ablations in the UK is? .SNIP. > >

Guest guest
Well , you might remember me when I first posted after I was put on Amioderone and you were the first to post a reply to that question and here you are again and nice to know that someone in the UK is aware of St `s work. I`am led to understand that Dr Wynn Davies had a lot of input regarding Tony Blair`s problem, and I would go so far as to say that he had a hands on " input " . Like you I would like to hear more from the UK patients with AF, as I have had to bully doctors to get myself to St `s and an ablation and fingers crossed as nothing is a certainty and I`m sure that other [people are finding getting to see an EP on the NHS an uphill struggle. Guest guest
I have a friend (65 years old) who went into chronic afib a little over a year ago, with full time flutter of the atria. He had the ablation procedure about 2 months ago and is back to mountain backpacking now. As a result, I now have an appointment with an electrocardiologist to find out if I am a candidate for ablation. My problem is paroxysmal afib, not chronic flutter. Do we have any ablation cures of paroxysmal afib in this group? Murray
