You should call somebody from your Congressional district right away.

My son is on a drug that I can only get from Canada. Fed Ex just

called me to tell me that my sons medicine is being held up at

customs. This makes me so angry!

If you know of anyone I can call to get help on this please let me

know. My son has severe Lennox Gastaut syndrome, And goes into

status seizures without this drug, and there is no other drug that

is comparable.

I wrote to Senator , I live in NC and he is our Senator. I

just hope he gets the email. I was told to call the police by one

parent, her sister was in the same predicament and thats who she

called. I will tomorrow.

Donna that happened to a friend of mine too. A call to a state legislator

might prove useful. Unfortunately, once a

shipment has been " flagged, her experience has been that other shipments

from this Dr. were flagged also. If you can't get it soo, I have a friend

in Buffalo whose husband is a customs attorney. With your permission,i may

Thank you for this information. You know what gets me, its

coming from the largest childrens hospital in North America, From

thier pharmacy, I could see if it were a mom and pop pharmacy.

I feel sick to my stomache knowing they can stop shipment of my sons

medicine, This is so wrong. Im calling Customs a little later today

after I get home from work. Ill let you know what they say.

I cant believe they actually have attorneys for this. If for some

reason I can not get his medicine, And my son suffers could you ask

him who is going to be responsible for my childs suffering?

My friends husband handles green card/visa issues, not prescriptions, but I

wonder if he knows where you can protest this. I think a call to a

legislator this morning would be best:)

If you are calling it might be a good idea that Indiana U.S. Rep Dan Burton's

office gets one as well. He is livid at the FDA over this and related issues.

we have done this, though it was a couple of years ago.... (before

9/11 ect) Call customs and find out the agent assigned to you, have

him fax the info he (or she) needs. Did you keep a copy of the orig.

Rx? you will probably have to fax that and what the drug is for, You

probably will have to have you dr fax some info also. Took some hoop

jumping but we got Grace's stuff about two weeks later.
