Guest guest
I was in a car accident 13 years ago and was unable to walk because of it. I now can walk and I require shoes with good support. Personally, I will wear nothing but New Balance shoes (when wearing running shoes) as they have the best support around. If you require more stability for walking, there are some new styles that have a rollbar in them. I am looking at getting a pair of those as they have even more support and stop both pronation and suppination of the ankle. I too have high arches. This rollbar would help correct most of your walking problems too. There are a few other brands of shoes that have rollbars in them too. I have tried a few and liked New Balance better. I do not work for New Balance or any other place that deals with shoes (maybe I should and get a discount...) but those are what work best for me. I should maybe also mention that my father was in the accident with me and now has a fused ankle. He will only wear New Balance shoes. New Balance is just a name, there are many different models in New Balance that can better suit you. Go to a store, talk with someone who knows what they are talking about and explain your situation. Some stores will allow you to bring back the shos if they have not been worn outside. If you can find one, buy some shoes and try them out indoors at home. (Sorry so long) Hope some of this helps you out, Jasmyn --- torib923 wrote: > I keep forgetting this one....I bought a pair of New > Balance 336 per > my 'walking analysis' by the guys at the NB store in > Madison - would > best suit my stability needs for walking. Guest guest
I also have the same problem with high arches. Haven't found any shoe/sneaker that comes up to my arch. I know exactly what you are saying and I would also love to find something that fits properly. Hugs, Donna M 259.8/242.2/155 Shoes.... I keep forgetting this one....I bought a pair of New Balance 336 per my 'walking analysis' by the guys at the NB store in Madison - would best suit my stability needs for walking. They weren't too pricey, so I tried them - wish I could pitch them!! I have high arches and twist on the ball of my foot as I push off. So I am VERY hard on shoes. Any suggestions...I also walk 3-5 miles per day and attempt to run/walk 2 x per week. Has anyone found a website that ranks shoes w/o trying to sell us something?!?! Oh anything to help my aching feet! Thanks!
