Guest guest
All good points that I could see and well selected. The only one I didn't see listed in your post that I would recommend and add is Stomach 2 - directly below the center of the eye, beneath the zygomatic arch (cheek bone) and pressing up and into the bone. This is one of my favorites for sinus congestion, colds and related type headaches. It is also outstanding for any upper jaw tooth ache because it also works on the Trigeminal nerve that passes right through that spot. I have used it several times in the last couple of years when I have had a tooth bothering me. I have also suggested it to a couple of people at work before I retired, both of whom got equal success using it. And speaking of tooth aches, I might as well give you a point you can use for lower jaw if you ever need it. Reach up and put the tips of your fingers in the hollows beneath your ears and then press forward toward your chin onto the back edge of the jaw bone. From that same position, if you shift the direction of pressure from toward the chin to more of an " up and in " toward the bottom of the ear, you are on the two best points I have found so far to stop hiccups. Other than that, good job on your selection of points.
Guest guest
Gosh - and I did it all in the dark and half asleep. You should have seen me straining to see the pictures ------------------ I know the feeling well. The one thing I do NOT like about Jin Shin Do is that the developer came up her own numbering system for the points. Yes, it makes it easier to learn the beginning level release patterns and points if you have no background in acupressure or Traditional Chinese Medicine. But having to remember things like JSD 30 = LU 1, or JSD 35 = LI 4, or Point B = CV 17, drives me nuts. On top of that, Polarity Therapy also works within a Five Element structure like Chinese Medicine - but they go by different names. I was going through the same problem in my recent classes. Lights are dim, I have a release pattern that involves using 17 different points, and all with the JSD nomenclature. Trying to balance a couple of small pamphlets on your lap so you can flip back and forth to see which points you are actually supposed to use, all in dim light, can be a bit challenging. And it certainly breaks up the smooth flow of a treatment for the poor person being worked on. One of these days, I will get all of it memorized but I am no where near that stage yet.
