Guest guest
Hmm, I think I've had some visceral minipulation done by 3 different chiros - or it could have been a different techinque altogether. I've had three of chiros pulled my stomach down to 'fix' (is fix the appropriate word here??) a hiatal hernia over the years. I've done it with my girls, but I'm not very good at it - need lots more practice, but hope my girls don't give it to me. Also have had my uterus pulled up by two of them. I can tell when it needs to be done and will say that lots of things feel better after the uterus is returned to it's proper position. I know both of these are perpetuated by EDS - but I'm hoping to happen on something that will help these organs stay put. I will also say that it can be a bit painful - but since I don't have very fragile tissue I'll deal with the momentary pain to get the daily comfort back. Looking forward to more of your energetic ideas MIke - -- PS The next time you get that 'hit by a truck' feeling, charcoal, vit C and taurine always help me. I do know that VM seems to be an increasingly popular alternative approach with chiros. And having had it done, I think you can attest to both the general effectivness of it and my very strong cautions for anyone with VEDS. I don't know if I can reposition an internal organ energetically like you describe because I have not yet had the opportunity to try. Given some of the other wierd crap I have been doing lately, I would not bet against it. I do know that I can energetically release adhesions and restrictions and affect the organ's motility because I was doing both over the weekend. I will toss some of my VM material in the RV this summer and we can play around with it to see if I can maybe get you energetically tuned in for working on your daughters. I am sure that Barb will confirm that daughters like the energetic approaches lots more than the " grab and pull " techniques. As for the hit by a truck feeling, the general recommendation we always get told (and tell clients) is to take a hot epsom salts bath soak. The epsom salts help pull the toxins out of the system. The problem here is that I don't think it would be a good idea to toss that stuff in the hot tub and the last tub I found that was big enough for me was a get away weekend at the Venetian in Las Vegas about five years ago. In standard tubs, I feel like an upside down ice berg - 90 percent of me is out of the water.

And if you haven't gotten much practice on energenically moving organs around, I'm sure between the 5 of us, there will be at least one hiatal hernia ... > As for the hit by a truck feeling, the general recommendation we > always get told (and tell clients) is to take a hot epsom salts bath > soak. Guest guest
And on a final note, I sure hope the rest of you all appreciate me throwing MY body into the breach, as it were, as a lab rat to check some of this stuff out. Some classes I have taken, the " treatments " I have received as part of the hands-on practice sessions have been worth more to me personally than the seminar itself. That was NOT the case for the last four days. I definitely could have done without receiving a couple of the practice sessions this time. I still hurt from one of them. In fact, I was kind of glad that we were short a student by the final afternoon because I had reached the point where I didn't want anybody's fingers anywhere near my abdomen for awhile. Well, Mike, I - for one, Do appreciate what you went through! I bet it was very uncomfortable, to be kind. It sounds very interesting, though. It also sounds like you have quite a bit more success that most others with the energy modalities.which doesn't surprise me at all! I'm glad you 'enjoyed' it-kinda, sorta! LOL! Guest guest
I bet it was very uncomfortable, to be kind. ---------------- Visualize someone physically " draining or flushing " your gall bladder by squeezing it. That was not a figure of speech - it was one of the techniques we learned how to do. There are a number of very useful applications for the technique - getting rid of small gall stones being just one. If not done very gently, however, it can also end up being relatively painful. It actually felt like mine was bruised until I ran into one of my Jin Shin Do instructors in the hall the following morning (she was taking a different class at the same place). Her assessment was that mine was just excessively stimulated energetically from the work and reminded me how to work the gall bladder meridian exit points to disperse the excess energy. After I did that for about ten minutes, the pain went away so she must have been right. In fairness to my partner, it did not feel overly aggressive or invasive while he was doing it. And I think I did react more energetically than I did physically. Either way, however, I still hurt like a scalded dog for hours afterwards. On the other hand, when we switched and I worked on him, I did the entire technique energetically. In other words, I didn't physically " pump " his gall bladder with my finger tips - I mentally told it to pump itself and it did. And yes, I fully realize how wierd and strange that sounds, but that is exactly what I did and what happened.
