We have to be in Atlanta for a wedding the weekend before and in Tampa at the end of July for a class I want to take, but the middle of the month was still open. I was planning on getting together with both Bonnie and Cindy C this summer any way. So after they both posted about attending if they could work out the travel arrangements, I told them I would drive back up from Atanta, shuttle them over to Buffalo and attend the conference as well. As info for everybody on the list, I will be traveling with one of my massage tables and my portable, desk-top seated massage unit... There are a couple of alternative therapy presentations at the conference that I will probably sit in on. But other than that, my interests in attending are in putting faces to names, answering any questions I can about some of the stuff I keep posting about, giving demos on any of it that I can to anyone who wants one, and working on as many people who ask as time allows. Oh my goodness Mike, that's great! Can't wait to see you. I was planning on being taken advantage of by the airlines. It's nuts. You can fly from Calif., for less than from Central NJ! Let me know if you're gonna be on the Garden State Parkway, when you're about to pass exit 117, on the way up, I'll be the one with my skirt hiked up! giving demos on any of it that I can to anyone who wants one, and working on as many people who ask as time allows. So tell me, who's organzing you schedule when you arrive in Buffalo, when you have the time? And/or how does one get on the list?? Now, that's all assuming you survive the trip with all of those lovely ladies. I'm re-inspired, not that any of it ever left me & I've got to find my books from my classes that I took on Therapeutic Touch & everything else. The best was when all of the residents used to ask me how I could lay on the O.R. table, awake, like nothing was happening, watching the TV screen & arguing or discussing, (depending on who's side you were on), what exactly the surgical plan was going to be, while I underwent the majority of my 50 or so operations................. How'd they think I did it? A. Hypnosis B. Relaxation C. Distraction, as though I was a participant & not the patient AND D. Most important... ignoring them! Can't wait to meet you. Travel safe. Guest guest
Hi Mike, WHOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You'll end up totally exhausted from the conference, I am afraid, Mike... I hope you are getting that list together, he-he... You'll end up needing an assistant to keep track of things for you... You got me curious again... What is a desk-top seated massage unit? When I was in NYC once, we went to a market. There were so many there who gave people massages. They had those massage chairs instead of tables. They look so comfortable... I have seen it on TV from the yearly huge " alternative fairs " they have here, but have never seen them elsewhere. It is nothing like laying down properly though, if you can do it... Somebody should design a wonderful, adjustable massage table, where you could adjust angles in lots of ways... With proper padding.... That I would love, that is for sure!!!! Hmmm.... I am reading postings the wrong way, maybe I should consider scrolling up and reading old postings first... Have a nice day, I am starting to feel " good tired " , maybe I will be lucky enough to get a nap after a long night... Got a migraine yesterday afternoon, and have been tossing and turning all night... Called in sick this morning, even if I have some control over the HA now, but I can't seem to move much and I am so tired, but earlier I just could not get any sleep. I think my neck is the culprit again, I should have known what is going on there... Sure makes a lot of funny noises that neck, maybe it is full of gravel and shingle... I can't wait until the conference... It is way too long... I think we need to get it moved to May!!! This reminds me, I have to call my aroma therapist to set up some appointments. She is such a great massage therapist and those wonderful warm hands she has just lifts it to another level... She is a bit scary though, he-he... She always tells me something about myself that nobody knows, she senses so much... She does have some gifts, no doubt about that... And she is fortunately so used to psoriasis, she has so much of it in her family. She has been so interested in EDS too, so I have given her lots of info.
