Guest guest
Maybe because I live in the South, names can be very interesting. At my daycare, there were girls named Heavenly, Love, and Honey (Love and Honey were sisters). Boys included Blade and Archer. Don't get me started on parents who simply made up names....for me, it was always important to imagine how a name would look on a future resume. Also, there are a lot of kids here with nature inspired names. I know kids named Star, Lake, and Ocean. I just can't see an 80 yr. old . I'm sure there's one or two out there and in about 40 more years there's going to be a bunch but I'll be sitting there in the nursing home with them giggling. " ...hehehehehehe ! " When I had Sami, my hospital roomate was talking about naming her 3rd daughter Princess. I just kept hearing my sister calling her dog. I checked out before she filled out her birth certificate. I kept hoping for the best. : / Tina

Guest guest
was a family with 3 daughters named Faith, Hope and Charity. [>>] This are actual Latin names Fe, Esperanza and Caridad. If they are Latins maybe they just translated their latin names to sound more American. Cecilia
Guest guest
for me, it was always > important to imagine how a name would look on a future resume. > > Maggie > That's the thing I always thought of too, along with...will the kids at school torment them..is there something that rhymes with the name that is bad...and do the initials spell something obscene. And something that not everyone else is named. I always thought Alyxandrea was a good strong name for a girl. Her middle name is Jade. I liked it because it was fairly unique at the time. Now she complains that Alyx sounds like a boys name (even though there are 2 other girls she knows). I told her I puposefully spelled it with a y so they'd know it's a girl name. Zachary Mason....strong attorney type name hehe. First time I heard the name Zachary was a classmate of mine in third grade. His dad was a lawyer. Seems it became a lot more popular since then. Guest guest
Well, mine are kind of weird. All the kids are named after cities or counties in the state of Georgia. My wonderful husband also pointed out that they are all also names of Navy ships or subs.... Sigh (you know, this was all his idea, really) Georga Hackworth Men, can't live with them, can't trade them in for their weight in chocolate. April is Autism Awareness Month!
