Guest guest
Hi -Anne, I noticed you have a brand new puppy. How's she doing? Are you able to keep up with her? I just got a new puppy too from a breeder this past weekend, a Border Collie, and she is keeping me on my toes! Lily is a very pretty name. Our puppy doesn't have a name yet but, so far, Maddy is sounding pretty good for a name. Just wanted to congratulate you on the newest member of your family. Happy housetraining! Karol Puppy love Hi all,I'm lying here in bed typing with a little English bulldog pup snorting in her sleep next to me, LOL! We brought her home from the breeder today and she is absolutely adorable! Her parents names are Liberty Belle and Jake's Fat Man (ROFL!). We've decided to name her Lily. I want to put part of the mama's name in her AKC name so her full registered name is going to be Lilith, Belle of Britania. LOL, how's that for a handle for a 5-pound puppy?! She'll grow into it -- fast! She's really adorable -- all brindle body with a mostly white face and chest, but she has brindle ears and a brindle patch over one eye. I have plans for this little girl! I'd like to show her and breed her (probably just once). One of the pups from the previous litter is already winning and placing well in dog shows! Thanks for the name suggestions! We were going to name her Mollie, but our collie's name is Ollie, so we thought that would get confusing for both dogs!I just LOVE my furr-kids!! They're the human kids I wish I could have had but wasn't able to.-Anne"The LUPIES Store" Come check out our store...http://www.cafepress.com/thelupies"The LUPIES Web Page"http://www.itzarion.com/lupusgroup.html"The LUPIES online photo albums!" Guest guest
Hi Karol! Thanks for the good wishes and congratulations to you, too! Border collies are extremely intelligent -- and high energy! We have two rough collies, as well, and one of them just got out of his puppyhood, thank God, lol! English bulldogs are notoriously laid- back, LOL, and she's no exception. She's doing GREAT! For all intents and purposes, she's housetrained already! The breeder already had her trained on puppy pads, so I have a puppy pad next to the back door for emergencies and when I can't get to her in time. However, she's doing 80 percent of her " business " (100 percent of her pooping) outside already, and the other 20 percent on the puppy pad. That's as good as can be expected for a 7- week-old pup! It's such fun to bring home a new baby, isn't it? She lifts my spirits so much! Blessings to you and your new addition! -Anne > Hi -Anne, > > I noticed you have a brand new puppy. How's she doing? Guest guest
Hi Karol, Yes, she is crate-trained. LOL, at the end of the day when she's tired of playing, she literally cries to go into her crate and have some down-time! I have her crate in my room and she's been sleeping really well. Ollie, our one-year-old collie, is totally crate- trained, too. Whenever I say, " Ollie, go nite-nite, " he walks right in and lies down, no matter what time of day it is! Lily, the bulldog puppy, is very intelligent -- more so than the average bulldog, LOL! It was hard to choose from the litter but I noticed that, tiny as she is, whenever I spoke she looked at me intently and kept her focus on me. That was a good sign that proved to be right on! The breeder had started potty-training, so I followed up with her techniques and it's worked very well! From what I've seen so far, Lily has awesome show potential. She is confident, has presence and great conformation. That's exactly what I wanted since I need a sport that isn't too demanding but will keep me active. I also love to travel, so this is perfect! I'm going to take some pictures of the gang this weekend and I'll have to find out how to post them here. -Anne > Hi -Anne, > > Wow, that is fabulous.....almost house trained at seven weeks. Must be a very smart puppy. I can't say the same thing, wish I could. We are still having accidents but now Jetta is squeezing out the last drop to get a tiny bit of chicken liver as a reward for doing her business outside. I am starting from scratch so Jetta is just now getting the idea of where and where not to go potty. I think we're making headway though. Are you crate training your pup?
