Guest guest
Janice, Here is Emerson's website: http://www.emersonecologics.com/ Needless to say, but I will say it anyway, I do not profit from the sale of ANY nutritional product. We have used butyrate, and with much success, we get it by prescription now. You can open it, and empty the contents into a spoon, it smells horrible, but if you freeze it, it will not harm the product, and it helps take off the odor. I mix my son's butyrate with a mixture of oils, recommended by Dr.Kane it is called Bodybio balance oil. I just stir it in, and it kills the taste and most of the smell. Make sure that you get Calcium/Magnesium butyrate and not get the Sodium Butyrate, it makes a difference. It can also be purchased from T.E.Neesby. If you search the archives on this list, you will find that I have posted information about butyrate in previous messages. Also, does anyone know if it is completely dairy free, as my son has a severe allergy to all dairy (not just casein). (I can't find a website for Ecological Formulas, or else I'd ask them these last two questions.) > > Thanks! > Janice > >
Guest guest
My son seems to be extremely high in beta-aminobutyrate. He also seems high in ammonia. Is it wise to use butyrate as a supplement when he is high in beta-aminoisobutyrate? High about using magnesium citrate or calcium citrate if he is hi in ammonia? We are using these two supplements in hopes of helping his constipation. But are we actually aggravating the problem? Mel
Guest guest
The butyrate would probably not be wise, try arginine instead. Magnesium and calcium citrate are probably ok but you mught try magnesium glycinate instead. [ ] Re: butyrate My son seems to be extremely high in beta-aminobutyrate. He also seems high in ammonia. Guest guest
What about creatine as well? my son had really low nitric oxide (though it could have been low because it was taken while he was under anesthesia). It was recommended to give arginine and creatine to increase it... > The butyrate would probably not be wise, try arginine instead. > Magnesium and calcium citrate are probably ok but you mught try > magnesium glycinate instead. > > [ ] Re: butyrate > > > My son seems to be extremely high in beta-aminobutyrate. > He also seems high in ammonia. > Is it wise to use butyrate as a supplement when he is high in > beta-aminoisobutyrate? > High about using magnesium citrate or calcium citrate if he is hi in > ammonia? > > We are using these two supplements in hopes of helping his constipation. > But > are we actually aggravating the problem? > > Mel > > > > ======================================================= >
Guest guest
I'm not a big fan of creatine but arginine would definitely increase the nitric oxide level.
