Doesn't have time for you? Whazzup with that? That guy needs reporting to the AMA and right now. If I felt any better, I'd come over there and kick his sorry butt. No patient should be treated like that for any reason, ever. Period. By all means go back to your PCP, tell him/her what happened, and get another referral. As we are constantly telling all members, YOU have to be your biggest advocate. YOU have to take charge of your condition, doctors, and medications. THEY will not do it, unless you assert yourself, and force the issue. Keep us posted on what happens with you, and for heaven's sake take action against this jerk. As for the swelling, have you had recent kidney function tests? These can be started with a simple blood test and urinalysis. Then, if indicated, more indepth tests can be done.
