But it's not a very good indication because my mom's cycles were like clockwork ... hell I remember her saying things like " better toss a few tampons into my purse because I'll be starting my period this afternoon " . And my periods have *never* been regular. I have PCOS. I was probably more like my grandmother but my mom was born when my grandmother was in her mid-40's so by the time my mom was old enough to be aware of things like that her mom had already finished menopause. And my father's mother ... well, people just don't talk about things like that in public ... she was a *very* proper woman. So, I'm flying by the seat of my pants with this one. But there's something pretty weird about comparing hot flashes with your mom. (She's 21 years older than me, so she's only 58).
