ugh. Sorry. :(

That is the present state of my brain. I had a post in there, but I

lost it. Can't seem to remember a damn thing these days. I'm also

having a time with my blood sugar, thyroid or just old age hormones.

My bet is hormones. I'm hot, I'm cold, I'm tired, I'm awake, I'm

crabby, I'm fine, I can't remember shit, I have worse acne then when

I was a teenager, and I'm gaining weight. I wish menopause would

come and just be done with.

Ok, shall we start the next unofficial poll of how many of us are dealing

with our normally not so normal lives with the addition of perimenopause?

As the eldest member of this group, I can let you all know what fun

perimenopause is. I have been there for about four years now and

still no end in sight. I am currently living due to hormone

replacement therapy. I don't care what the researchers say, it

helped me. Leggs

Leggs,

I've had the night sweats and memory loss for well over a year now and the

15 lb weight gain came about a year and a half ago! Now I've got the

pimples showing up. Ugh.. So far I'm ok with out the hormones, but I was

already on and antidepressant, so I'm sure that is helping. I've only been

off the pill for about 6 months, and amazingly my cycle is still only about

36 hrs long! Maybe I'm farther into this than I think I am?

By the way, I was told if I needed hormone therapy, that the low dose patch

was a good way to go.

Now I'm wondering...

When I was a teenager, I NEVER had acne. I really didn't have " real " acne

until after Jacqui was morning (I was almost 30)

Thinking back, I was on the pill from the age of 16 to 27 (with some time

off because I got pregnant and had my son).

I wonder if that's why I'm having such a hard time now? I have so much acne

lately that I could play connect the dots on my face!

I hate this!

Penny :/

Yes! Make the poll!

I just read a bit about perimenopause ... and omg, it explains a helluva

lot that's been going on with me.

How is it effecting everyone else? I'm irritable off and on (no rhyme

or reason), same with depression. No sex drive at all, none, nada ...

sucks to be my DH ... poor guy, he should go up for sainthood. Hot

flashes here and there ... they're better lately but for awhile there it

was horrible. Can't sleep for shit, I'm up and down a lot at night.

I thought it was stress & depression combined with Zoloft side effects

.... but maybe its perimenopause?

Could be. How old are you, and when did the women in your family go through

menopause? I don't have the history in my family, but I know my mom had a

histerectomy for bleeding problems when I was 16, so she was 44 then.
