Guest guest Posted April 20, 2004 Report Share Posted April 20, 2004 Arava (Leflunomide) Arava is a disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD) which reduces inflammation and slows disease progression of rheumatoid arthritis. It is not chemically related to other DMARDS. It also works as an immuno-supressant. As with everthing else there are the predictions of dire side effects, but so far I'm not having any, and this is the first drug that I haven't had any side effects at all. It can be hard on your liver, but so can all the other stuff they give us for lupus.
