I am going to get him an appt with an eye dr. Maybe he needs glasses.
Guest guest
From: @ Home Subject: I think my son is having a migraine Can you have a migraine without having that numbness like gets, where one side of her face droops? ************************************** Hi . Well just like everything else, none of use are going to have the exact same symptoms. Dylan's neurologist said he had cluster migraines. He had pain that went over his head into his eye and a bit in the temple. He had to have things dark and quiet. He did not get the auras, or nausea, or droopy face,or numbness. His lasted 8 weeks. The reason I ask, , is that droopiness can be a symptom of Bells Palsy. I asked about " stabbing " pain because that's the type of pain you get with Trigeminol Neuralgia, however I'm not sure that droopiness is associated with that. You might want to look on the internet for Bells Palsy to see what you think. Love Lana
Guest guest
His headache is at the top of his head, to his temples, and eyes. I'm gonna go re-evaluate him now. I'll ask you more after that. Maybe it's a cluster headache. I hate that he is missing so much school!
Guest guest
, it doesn't sound much like Bells or Trigeminol Neuralgia, so I'm thinking it is a Migraine. Is there a way you can get his school work for him in case he gets to feeling better? I wouldn't worry too much about school - they should work with him/you. Guest guest
I get migraines without droopyness or paralysis. I am sensitive to light, sound and smell, and nauseaus and if I move my head/neck it fells like it will explode. I have to keep a bucket beside the bed and go to bed in a dark quiet room and hope that my partner doesn't eat anything strong smelling as I can smell it and this makes me feel even sicker. YUCK. I do get aura's and such symptoms a lot of the time but NOT always before a migraine. I usually have to pack the pillows about my head/neck to prevent ANY movement and then TRY to sleep it off (I do take Cafergot etc for my migraines at the first signs (if I get them) but sometimes this is no help). It is quiet possible he is having a migraine as I too can and do sometimes get eye pains as well. Now he's complaineing of a bad headache (a 6 on a scale of 1-10), nausea, and eye pain. > > Could he be having a migraine? I think he had one a couple months ago that lasted for about 9 days. > > > Can you have a migraine without having that numbness like gets, where one side of her face droops? > > > >
