Hi everyone, yes it's me I'm still here! I'm so sorry that I haven't

been able to post but the weekend has been a real nightmare with this

chest infection. Thank you all for being so concerned and caring

enough to bully me about my condition. You were of course completely

right, but I rather stupidly decided I just didn't have time to put

my health first this weekend with my motor sport work and Grandad's

memorial. I certainly could have done without standing in the rain

and wind for an hour on Saturday morning though, as I've really paid

the price for that. I know now that I should have been in hospital

since last Wednesday, but I guess we're all silly and stupid when

were busy caring too much about other people to take care of

ourselves huh?

You will be pleased to hear that I did go back to see my emergency

care doctor this afternoon as I am still having a lot of pain

breathing. He gave me a thorough but painful examination, which

really highlighted just how painful my lungs, ribcage, shoulders and

neck have become. He think the infection is going to take a while to

get under control even with antibiotics sadly, but if I'm still

coughing by the end of the week I need to go back and have my throat

and chest swabbed for specific cultures. He was most concerned about

how much pain I'm in from dislocating/subluxing when I breath and

cough and feels a lot of the difficulty I'm having with my breathing

is from the resulting rib and shoulder damage. I have to continue

with my nebuliser therapy and he's given me some strong pain killers

to try and make me more comfortable but at the moment I still feel

like I've been hit by a truck and I'm wearing a very tight corset! I

swear it didn't hurt this much when I had riding accidents.

So I'm left plodding on with antibiotics, O2 therapy and pain meds

that on top of the infection are leaving me very drained. II just

wanted to reassure everyone that I am okay though and promise all my

surrogate online Mum's out there that if things don't improve I will

keep going back even if it means ending up in the dreaded hospital!

Take care my wonderful CEDA family and know that I'm thinking of you

and as I hopefully start regaining my strength I will be around a lot

more for you all again.

Love and hugs....Jo

Jo,

So does all this mean you are getting oxygen at home plus the nebulizers and

antibiotics? What on earth were you doing standing out on the rain in your

condition? It must have been really important to you. O lordy girl

please take care of yourself and keep in touch with your Dr.

Thinking of you!

Sincerely, S.

Still alive honest! Thanks for caring :-)

Jo --

So glad to hear you did go back to the doctor. You are going thru such a rough

time right now -- take all the help you can get (including the hospital, if

necessary!)

I will be keeping you in my prayers and hope you are feeling better real soon.

Take care,

Love,

Jo, you just take care of you. It sounds like you have a tendency to push your

self to hard. Easy does it. Just rest and be a couch potato for a while. I'm so

sorry to hear about your Grandpa. Now you rest. Cindylouwho.

Still alive honest! Thanks for caring :-)

Hi Jo!

I am much relieved to know you went to your doctor! Thank you! AND, while

we're at it, you need to concentrate on YOU now, and NO ONE ELSE! OK?

We're getting along fine here. On this list, the stronger ones (at the

moment) support the weaker ones (at the moment), knowing that at any time,

the situation could be and probably will be reversed. So, dear friend,

never fear, you'll get your chance at paying us back!

TAKE CARE OF YOU!!

Love Lana

Jo,

I am so glad that you returned to the doctor, but am a bit baffled as to why

no one took cultures of your throat while you were there - it's quick and

would get you on the road to proper treatment rather then waiting more, it's

just draining to have to do that.

Please rest and let me know how you are today if you can!!

Hi Jo,

I'm so releived to hear you're doing " ok " .

I'm glad you went back to the dr.

Get lots of rest, take your meds, and eat some chicken soup.

No more outings into the rain, ok?

(I know, I probably would have gone too.)

Big Hugs,
