Hey Carol,

Remember me.....it's Carol! How you doin? We have something in common. We are both dog lovers, we both have Australian Shepherds, mine is a mini however, and we both have new puppies, even though yours is older. How about that! Your Aussie getting along with your newest member of the family? That's a really nice thing you're doing, taking in that poor pup. We have had people dump their dogs and cats out here where I live and we have done what we can to find good homes for these poor animals that were rejected by their original owners. One day, I found a beautiful kitten in our compost pile, looking for a dinner. When I say beautiful, I mean beautiful. The kitten looked to be a Himalayan (sp). An officer at the base who is a cat lover took her and gave her a great home! Can you believe people just dump their animals? Good luck with your "baby".

Hugs...

Karol

Just checking in & have to tell you about my new dog.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to check in and say hi. I hope everyone is doing well. I noticed there seems to be a lot of dog lovers on this site so I had to tell you about my new little angel.I just adopted a little chihauhau that was abandoned. I love little dogs and have always wanted one but my husband tends to like the bigger dogs so we have an Australian Shepherd.I guess God decided to bless me because I really couldn't afford any of the little dogs I liked so I just kept looking and dreaming about getting one someday.2 days ago my teenage daughter went jogging and while she was gone she called me on my cell phone to tell me she was at a neighbor's and they had found a stray small dog and needed someone to take it to the pound. I ran right over and found this tiny little 3.5 pound dog. I said if she doesn't belong to anyone I'm keeping her. They said they had called a couple of shelters etc but couldn't find anything. I took her to the vet yesterday and they examined her and said she is about 7 years old and looks like she might be part Mexican hairless. She is already spade and has no chip in her. They said she must have been traveling for quite a while because her little pads on her feet are worn out and raw and her skin is red and scraped up and looks sunburned. She has a missing tail and was starving. All I had to do with her was get her nails clipped and immunize her. Next week I will take her back in for a rabies shot and to have her skin looked at. They said sometimes older people have little dogs like this and they pass away or get sick and the family doesn't know what to do with them so they just leave them somewhere. Whatever the reason she came to us I consider her a blessing. She is so sweet she loves everyone and is already house trained. She follows me everywhere and wants to lay on my lap while I'm doing things. She doesn't like to be alone at all and is so cuddly and loving. I have to tell you I think this little dog is a blessing for me and my health also. I was having such a hard time getting up and felt like I was getting so depressed and focusing so much on my aches and pains. Now I feel like I have a reason to get up and get going and its taken my mind off of thinking so much about my physical pain. I'd love to take a picture and post it for all to see if someone can tell me how to do it. I have a digital camera and have no problem getting the pictures on the computer. Hope you are all doing well! Hi Carol,

Yes I do remember you! Are you still feeling better? Isn't it

great to have these new little dogs. Mine is 3.6 lbs and will stay

that way so I feel like I have a permanent puppy. I didn't have to

even housetrain her since she came that way along with being spade.

I feel like I was truly blessed to get such a sweet dog without

having to worry about all those things. I bought a soft dog carrier

yesterday to take her places with me and she loves it. She loves

going in the car and when I say wanna go bye bye she gets all

excited and heads for the door and out to the car. She is so

funny! She got really sharp with our Australian yesterday. I let

him in the house and she started barking up a storm and growling. I

told her to be good and she put her ears back and looked at me like

I'm sorry but this is really hard to control. My Australian is a

male and he hightailed it back outside when she started barking at

him. I had to laugh and I said and Who says a little woman can't

keep a man in line?

I'm glad you are enjoying your new little puppy. I have to admit

that puppies are always so adorable they are hard to resist. I

haven't had a chance to see your pictures yet since I need to get my

e-mails changed to individual. said that's why I haven't

been able to see anything people have been sending. I also want to

post some pictures of my angel. I would love to see some pictures

of your miniature Australian. I have heard about them and wondered

what they are like. What did you decide to name your new pup?

I have to tell you Thank you for being the kind of person to help

find homes for these abandoned animal. Because of people like you I

have my new little angel. I still can't believe someone just dumped

her but I won't complain because I have her now and I wouldn't want

it any other way.

Oh I also wanted to tell you I finished most of those puzzles you

sent but then somehow my e-mail folder got deleted and I lost all my

e-mails. Had to start fresh again with everything which is

frustrating. I would love for you to send me some more puzzles if

you have time though. Hey, have a great day! Carol
