young boy fainted at a spelling contest. Too much pressure for kids. They are

trying to catch up to their mistakes in schooling our children. In my own

opinion....I believe they should start back with the basic fundamentals. Kids

don't have what we had, and we as a culture have done pretty good. Kids don't

even sing songs in kindergarten anymore...they are too busy learning second

grade stuff. Let's get back to basics, and we will have much better rounded

kids.

AMEN ELLEN!!! You are so very right. It is good to have goals and to push these guys but they also need to have a joyful day and learning songs is educational too!

young boy fainted at a spelling contest. Too much pressure for kids. They are

trying to catch up to their mistakes in schooling our children. In my own

opinion....I believe they should start back with the basic fundamentals. Kids

don't have what we had, and we as a culture have done pretty good. Kids don't

even sing songs in kindergarten anymore...they are too busy learning second

grade stuff. Let's get back to basics, and we will have much better rounded

kids.
