Guest guest
Hang in there Patti, I was in the same boat years ago and having it removed was the best thing. I hope that the ultrasound is all- revealing and that you get to the bottom of things soon! Jill

Guest guest
Good luck with that Patti. I know from relatives that gall bladder problems are very painful. My sister in law had her's removed, and hasn't had any problems since. And, my aunt, who had her's removed (about a year after a kidney transplant) is doing much better as well. Hopefully, it won't be that. But if it is, they can fix it. It's nice to know the dr's can fix SOMETHING in our fragile EDS bodies. Guest guest
Patti, It's good your ultrasound was normal! But if you are having pain, and a GI bleed you may probably have an ulcer or gastritis from the actonel. Ya still need to see the GI Dr. and insist on an EGD. It's where the Dr goes down your throat and looks through the scope at your esophagus, stomach and duodenum. I believe this is necessary with your recent black stools, it may give you an answer as to what is going on. When do you see him? Please keep in touch! Sincerely, S. Ultrasound > Hi all -- > > Had my ultrasound today and the technician said everything looked fine. In a weird way I am a little disappointed because at least if they had found gall stones, I would have had an answer. Now it's back to the drawing board!!!! > > I am looking forward to seeing the doctor on the 25th - at the very least he can recommend a GI doctor in Portland if he needs to. I have everything chronicled showing all the steps I have progressed thru and all the different things I have tried. I have had a C-difficle infection (which seems to be all cleared up) and severe pain in my upper abdomin, as well as all kinds of problems with my bowels. It has all just been getting progressively more intense and frequent over the last 3 to 3 1/2 years, becoming an daily occurence for some things. Oh, well.....................!! > > On a much better note, they did ultrasound my entire abdomin. The aorta, liver, spleen, kidneys all look good. So that's something really good at least. > > Anyway, thanks for listening. > > Love, Patti > > > >

Guest guest
Thanks -- I see him on the 25th and I will certainly tell him that I should have the EGD test done. Guest guest
Hi, Glad to hear everything looks good! But, I know exactly how you feel - no answer! That is so frustrating. I've been getting it for about 13 years, until EDS came up. As we all say all the time, hang in there. Maybe watching your diet will help. I have been paying more attention to mine, and am noticing how I feel after eating things. So far, I've found I can't eat much red meat. And, when I have a coke, which is rarely, I get the most awful stomach pain. Kinda like a bruised feeling. So, I'm not drinking any more of that! Funny, it doesn't happen when I drink ginger ale, which I like better anyway. Hope things get better. So glad to hear your gall bladder is ok. Hugs,
