Guest guest
Hi Tod, That sounds wonderful. I also want to try the high dosage of Vitamin A for my child who has elevated measles titres. Can you tell me which form of Vit A you used? Thanks and regards, sanrithu > > > Hi everyone. > > > > > > We are considering trying the high dose Vitamin A therapy for > our 5 > > > year old son. Guest guest
Tod, I have a question too: you wrote it was risky to give 25,000 IU /day for several months? Our DAN dr says it is OK, and I remember reading Andy's post saying it was OK too. Can you point to the source of your information? Thanks a lot, Elena [ ] Re: Tod good results from Vitamin A mega-dosing? > > > > Hi everyone. > > > > > > We are considering trying the high dose Vitamin A therapy for > our 5 > > > year old son. Guest guest
Just wanted to throw in that we did much higher A per day following the two day high dose and have never had a problem. For us the DAN! doctor and Andy were correct. Also the salivary IGa went from 110 to 32 in 6 months time of this treatment. Don't know if size/age of child matters though, as this was a teen. Guest guest
I currently do not give her any vitamin A, as I believe she is still somewhat toxic. Her lips are really dry, which is a symptom of toxicity. When they heal, I will put her on a maintenance dose of 3500 iu and see how that goes. Yes, she continues to gain laguage and social daily. It is really quite amazing to watch. I will go back to have the titers checked next month, but so far no sign. She is 3- years nd weighs 30-pounds. > > > Hi everyone. > > > > > > We are considering trying the high dose Vitamin A therapy for > our 5 > > > year old son. He is doing quite well. Guest guest
I used codliver oil for the first 7500 iu, and the rest was Klaire Labs Mycel A, which is a liquid form. > > > > Hi everyone. > > > > > > > > We are considering trying the high dose Vitamin A therapy for > > our 5 > > > > year old son. Guest guest
I went that route, because of Andy as well. When she reached toxicity, I spoke with a relative who is a doctor, and he mentioned that the risk was in not seeing the toxicity signs soon enough. For instance, I did not realize that cracked dry lips were an early sign of toxicity, and as a result, I continued giving her the vitamin A for a month after she developed that problem. It happened around Christmas, and I thought it was just the cold weather. However, nothing helped, and they bled constantly. I was watching for the classic rash everyone speaks of, but that did not show up until a month after the lips. At that point, we got the aching joints, loss of appetite and itchy skin. Everything but the lips has resolved over about 6-weeks. I guess I feel that doing the high dose over a few days would keep you very attuned to symptoms of toxicity. That is just the opinion of myself and one doctor. Others have followed Andy's suggestion with no problems. My daughter is 3 years and 30- pounds if that helps. > > > > Hi everyone. > > > > > > > > We are considering trying the high dose Vitamin A therapy for > > our 5 > > > > year old son. Guest guest
I think it is differnt for everyone, and my daughter is only 3-years and 30-pounds, so I woulkd suspect that size and age do play a factor. > > > > > Hi everyone. > > > > > > > > > > We are considering trying the high dose Vitamin A therapy for > > > our 5 > > > > > year old son.
