Guest guest
Hi Barbara, Thanks :-) Actually I already have tried silver ring splints. I have one for my little finger. It was fitted for the middle joint, but the joint by my finger tips are the most unstable so it wasn't that great for me. And also I found the splints to be really expensive :-X We paid $75 for a boutineer splint for my pinky, and then an added $25 to get the little hole joining the boutineer splint to be filled in so my skin wouldn't be pushed through. For me it seems like my finger joints are always achey and tender so using a finger to apply pressure even with the joint stabilized would not be very comfortable at all. But thank you so much for sharing!!! And just incidently for any Canadians reading, the Canadian manufacture for silver ring splints is " Digi Splint " and any orthotist from the arthritis society would be able to fit you for them. www.digisplint.ca Take care Barbara! -Rhea > Rhea > > Check out http://www.silverringsplint.com/ > > My article on Silver Ring Splints, EDS Today Spring-Summer 2000 > http://www.edstoday.org/newsletter/SS2000/braceyourself.htm > > My Silver Ring Splint page > http://www.uggen.net/srs.htm > > -Barb
