Most people think it is all in my head and looking for attention but you know, walk in my shoes for a week and see what is in my head! We all get the “it’s all in your head thing now and then. Sometimes they say cheer up or “you’re making a big deal out of nothing, everyone has pain. Grrrrrr! My husband is a good man but he even has trouble understanding my pain. We just went on our anniversary vacation. I was coming off of the plane and walking down that ramp they have to pull up to the plane door. As you may know, there are several metal connections on the walk. I tripped on one & hurt both knees and my hands. The lady said she would get a wheelchair for me and my husband said” no, she’s ok”. I was mad; I told him I hurt and tried to walk and my left knee in particular hurt like HE double toothpicks. I told the lady I would be grateful for the chair. My husband had to push me. I think I embarrassed him. In the airport waiting for the plane to come in, my legs and feet were killing me! I saw a wheelchair and got in it and put my legs up on the chair to get them elevated. He kept telling me to stop it the chair was for someone sick! I asked him if I was embarrassing him and he said yes. I put my head on the back of the chair & dozed off. I was hurt that he can’t seem to understand how bad I hurt after all these years. Get your FREE personalized email signature at My Mail Signature!
