Good job, !!!! I am so glad it went well for him, . If I got

knocked over by a swing, I would have been crying for a while too.

Again, way to go !!

> I should say...He did great from Mommy's view. They aren't pushing him to

do anything yet, they just want him to learn that it is a happy and fun

place. I am sure once they expect things, it will get harder.

Great sounding first day, (much better than Putter's forty five

minutes of screaming) though sorry about the head bumping.

At Putter's school they expected very little of him at first too; they just

needed his tutors (he had three, his alone, one after the other) to be

reinforcing to Putter so that he would enjoy spending time with them. THEN

he could start to work.

Made me very anxious as I had a totally non-verbal and very autistic child

and I wanted them to work wonders on him.

But it worked out well. They knew what they were doing.

I always trust a place that has a kinder approach more than the forceful

kind. Not only is it kinder, it is more effective.

Maggie,

I totally agree and the teacher was beside herself. She was standing right next

to him but it happened so fast. He doesn't have a " healthy " fear of things so I

am not surprised. I was very glad to hear that she picked him up, hugged him ,

held him etc to help make him feel better. But I hope it doesn't happen again

real soon.

Warm Regards

Hi ,

used to run without any thought of danger in front of swings when

he was two or three. And he was fast! One day, the girl swinging was

going to high, he ran in front of her, and he was picked up and thrown

five feet. He cried for a long time too (and I felt fifty gray hairs

sprouting in my head). But he never ran in front of a swing again.....a

very hard lesson to learn I guess.

It's wonderful that the teacher is so sympathetic. I see that as a very

positive sign too.
