Anybody have two > myomectomies so close together? Did they come back after the second > time? > > Thanks! I had my first myo in July 1999. A few months later, I had to have a D & C to remove one last big fibroid still located in the back of my uterus. I just had a follow-up visit with my OB-GYN yesterday, and he said that I will likely need to have another myo before trying to conceive (I have about 4 decent size fibroids that have resurfaced). I'm 35 and I have no children either, and I still have so many things I want to do with my life before becoming a mom. I am also worried whether my uterus can withstand another myo. I've thought about UAE, but I'm concerned about the lack of research in carrying full-term pregnancies post-op (I also feel more at ease in knowing that the buggers are OUT!). The doc has taken a " wait-and-see " approach. He said there's no sense in making decisions now if pregnancy isn't imminent. Honestly, I'll probably have the second myo when it gets to that point; I'm hoping that in the next couple of years there will be pharmaceutical options for me... So, no, no 2nd myo for me yet, but I know exactly how you feel. I hope any of this helps. Faith
