I have to go thru several pharmacies most times........ but most come from the

closest one...... Rite-Aid and handy as I do refills online. But most did not

carry what the doctor would put me on so would have to wait a few days for them

to order it, giving me re-adjustment time to the med and/or have my parents

drive yet another 30 miles out of their way just to get them.

Is there another pharmacy nearby that you could use instead (even if

it is a different branch of the same pharmacy)? I know where I live

there seems to be a pharmacy on every corner. That would probably

stop the shortages. Just a thought...

He did not hand me a set of instructions but did have it written on his chart-

well- my chart....... You know what I mean........ The mix up was all the

secretaries fault........ this is like the third time she has done this....... I

think from now on - I will just try to avoid her or make notes of each mess up

she caused and hand them to the doctor!

The medication does sometimes not make my head all that clear but definitely

found out I was correct so- whew- feel better knowing the medications didnt make

me hear things differently.

write it down, if his handwriting is as bad as most doctors!

Don't you hate those " receptionists " who think they have a medical degree?

I've run into more than my share of them.

I had a receptionist at a rhuematology office tell me, " Why do you want to come

in for EDS? They can't do anything for it. "

Then, there are those doctors who do have a medical degree, and you wonder just

how the heck they got it!

Like, they must have " just passed " , and the bottom of their class, and they

think they know it all.

I hate that.

The worst, I think, are the physician's assistants. They think they're real

doctors. Give them a white coat, and a prescription pad, and they are the all

knowing and better than you. They think.

I hate them.

I call the doctors that shouldnt have degrees, doctors that got their degree out

of a box of cracker jacks...... I get a long with most- but there are some that

really just are impolite- thoughtless- no bedside manners whatsoever........

two newest medications that he has now put me on and your reaction to it.......

Meds again are- Methadone/methadose 10 mg po tab------- take one to two tablets

three times daily as needed for pain, with Lortab 10/Acetaminophen/Hydrocodon

500 mg/ 10 mg PO Tab-

That is the replacement ones for the 90 mgs of avinza (morphine) once a day and

lortab ----- well it says HYDROCODONE/APAP 7.5/650 TB-

I have started on them this morning after yet another night of agony..........

but I know its going to take more than a day to know if its going to help.......

actually, I always thought it took two to three months but according to the dr -

he stated that difference should be noticed as soon as two weeks........... is

this true with any one else on medications....... am I numb to everything now or

what.......

I have tried the Vicodin ES, that's what it is called in the dose you

described. Sorry, it made me sleepy but didn't do a whole lot for me pain

wise, but it's stronger than the Loritab! Same drugs between the two, but an

increased dosage of the same med in the VicodinES.

Yes- I've been on vicodin myself- tore my colitis/ulcer up pretty bad it

did....... thats why they chnged it to Lortab. Hugs to you - Take care

That's what Hydrocodone plus Tylenol is, Extra Vicodin plus extra Tylenol.

Tell him, since it's the same drug that tore your gut up. Gees the man has

to understand that but he's forgotten. Don't give up the ship!

That's what Hydrocodone plus Tylenol is, Extra Vicodin plus extra Tylenol.

Tell him, since it's the same drug that tore your gut up. Gees the man has

to understand that but he's forgotten. Don't give up the ship!

barely touch us ( make us feel high ) and the people that don't need the pain

medication get more out of it than we that need it do?

because the pharmacy incisted. It's a controlled med, and like you,

he was shorted a couple times. It's for BOTH of your protection for

them to do this - someone from the pharmacy could be pilfering a pill

or two...if they know they're being counted right there, there's no

way they OR anyone else can sneak a pill! Good shot!
