Guest guest
The weather forecast is calling for heavy snow tonight and early tomorrow JUST AS SPRING BREAK IS ENDING. Someone up there hates me. Salli

You betcha. :-) This whole past week we had freezing rain that immediately coated all it touched with a hard unbreakable carapace of ice. It is SO hard that my body weight does not break it, nor does Marc's. You can't walk on it, so you sort of point yourself at the car and push off from the wall, then grab the car door as you pass by...LOL. The buses were cancelled all week, but the school was open, so we townies who were motivated enough could still dump our kiddos! :-) Jacquie

Guest guest
> The weather forecast is calling for heavy snow tonight and early tomorrow JUST AS SPRING BREAK IS ENDING. > Oh, sorry, Salli. I know you must really need a break after a week of no school. We are well into spring storm season here; woke up at 5 am to golf ball size hail...scared the kids pretty badly. Mark actually went out in it to find the dog because we could hear him howling by the girls' window, but couldn't see him. He (dog) did finally go into the garage. We thought sure he would be hurt...but he apparently made his way to the garage traveling under the eaves...he's okay this morning--just not excited about going outside. :-( First order of business this morning was to see how the cars faired...luckily (amazingly) they weren't hurt, either. To be honest, I do not love spring in OK...gimme snow anytime; that shuts everything down here, which in my case means I don't have to run around like a maniac; all the kids are home full time anyway, so a day of not taking kids all over town is usually welcome.
