Pfeiffer had no objection to this. Obviously, this protocol is not consistent with Buttar's every-other-day dosing schedule. If you wanted to follow Buttar's protocol, you could give the MTP-II on alternating days -- in other words on the days you are not chelating. I waited about 2 to 3 weeks to chelate again for 3 days every 8 hours and he is not toewalking anymore. I consider this redistribution. I've heard from other Pfeiffer parents that Pfieffer will not prescribe DMPS but this is only second hand info; I haven't asked myself. As I mentioned in an earlier post, our Pfeiffer nurse said that the DMPS would not interfere with the MTP-II.
