I really enjoyed it. I got woke up once and it was hailing on my window again. I didn't look to see what time it was, just went back to sleep. Guest guest Posted May 3, 2004 Report Share Posted May 3, 2004 Mojo, I tend to do the same thing........How long can i stand this pain and stay out of the hospital thingy! The last time I waited till it was impossible to sit, stand, or breath. When i got to the ER my doc was so ticked and ended up having to put in an NG tube and I was in the hospital for 2 weeks. Then I got the lecture about how dangerous it was for me to let this go on like this. Plus it took way too long for the morophine to kick in.......then I had major withdrawls off of it. So that's why I said don't wait to long. If your pain continues to be bad after 24 hours of no eating then it's too far gone and your gonna need some help. They had the reception at a Russian Banqueting Hall. Food was delicious, and there was plenty of it. Not one of those where they give you a portion, but one of those where they constantly bring something else to the table. I tried a little bit of everything, but nothing that should have caused a reaction. Maybe I just ate too much but my pancreas woke me up in the middle of the night. I tossed and turned and didn't get much sleep, took some pain medicine it helped just a tiny bit and I was able to sleep a little bit. It's been nagging me a little all day, now it is getting stronger again. I sure don't want to go to the hospital, so I will have to try and stick to a very strict diet and see if I can get away with it. I've done it before, but I've also spent a few days at the hospital before for this as well. Wish me luck.
