Guest guest
Our kids sometimes pull US along! I'm thankful you asked enough questions to find what she was really asking. I THOUGHT you were going to say she wanted her other teacher Smart you for doing the kid-stuff in the middle of the advocacy. Your " real life " approach keeps the hearing loss from stealing the good out of life. Wise you! I wanna come to your buried treasure hunt! It gets easier in some ways, harder in others, but doing real life makes it all worth it...and thats' why we do it= so we CAN do real life. So bravo for you! >>> " other mom back from the white house " . THAT stopped me in my tracks... I don't know that I've ever mentioned it, but our dauhgter is adopted, so my first thought was that she wanted her birthmother back. (She's never met her BTW.) After talking to her a little more, I realized that she wanted ME back, the mom I was a few months prior to all of this. (We had just moved from a white house to this house right before we found out about her loss.) I had become so obsessed with getting her IEP done right that I'd become a cranky, old woman <smile>, and not alot of fun to be around. So, the last couple of months have been filled with tea parties, looking for buried treasures, flying to the moon, and just hanging out with her. Talk about a wake up call! So, that's where we are right now. Oh, and we're dealing with a major ear infection, of course it's in her better hearing ear... (Tell me this all gets easier...) We've spent the last couple of weeks at so many doctor's offices, not to mention the ER. <<
