Guest guest
Ok Ellen, you have really got me confused. Real cream comes from cows (usually). In the old days (gee I hate aging myself) we used to get milk delivered to the house in glass bottles and the top inch or so was cream. You either skimmed it off for coffee, whipping, etc. or you shook it up into the milk. (That idea sure wouldn't go over in this day and age of skim milk) Now, if you are talking about how to whip up whipping cream that you buy in the store....I'm not real sure off hand what amounts are used but... you whip the cream with some cream of tartar (in the olds days we didn't use this). When you have your soft peaks you slowly add the sugar. If you really need the amounts, let me know and I'll go look them up. barb Ellencland@... wrote: .....I'll gladly have a piece of Strawberry shortcake with you.
