Guest guest
We have a video phone system which we got so the kids could talk to their father, who lives on the West Coast (we are on the East). We have been pretty disappointed with it. It's very delayed, people are sort of in slow motion and slightly blurred. Not to say you can't make out features at all, but it's hard and really works better when you are very still. I can't see it working using sign. I've heard from the boys father that he's used the on line dsl video phone, and it's a vast improvement. I am just waiting for dsl to reach us in order to try it out. Guest guest
Kirsten, It was my understanding that you had to have either a DSL or cable modem for the video phone to work. We haven't looked into it yet because we still use dial-up for our internet connection as it's cheaper for us. I'm sure eventually we will get DSL at home....then maybe we will try the video phone. Sorry you're disappointed with it. I've heard it's wonderful for those who sign. Others dream things that never were and ask why not. G.B Shaw --------------------------------- Yahoo! FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click.
