Not a fun time Steph, but at least you have your doctors' attention and they are paying attention. Some of our folks have to fight very hard for that. Please keep us updated and know that you are in my prayers and I am hoping that they find an answer and a magic pill will take care of the problem.

First lemme say hiyas to Kate. Kate I used to live in Largo/Bellair Bluffs. I used to work at the Barnett Bank (used to be First Florida, then Barnett, then I believe Nationsbank?) there in Maderia. Hubby used to fish off 's Pass all the time :).

Second, update on me. I had the heart cath and my heart is fine, however, the cardiologist decided to do a whole heart cath and when he checked the O2 levels in my heart they werent so good, so off I went back to my old pulmonologist. He had me walk up the hall with the pulse oximeter on my finger and my oxygen level stayed fine, however my heart rate went from a resting rate (they had me lay down because they didnt believe what my heart rate was) of 110 to 120...then he had me walk up a flight of stairs and my rate went to 145 but my Oxygen level stayed normal (95 to 95%). By the way I was breathing you woulda swore I ran up 10 flights of stairs not barely walked up one flight. He said there is definitely something wrong.. First he said my heart shouldnt beat that fast, second, he said (I was drenched in sweat just from the walk up the hall and the flight of stairs) I shouldnt be sweating that much. When he checked my lung sounds, the bases of

my lungs do not have any breath sounds....in layman's terms, no air exchange is happening in the lower part of both of my lungs. He asked if my thryoid had been checked and I told him "Yes, 4 times so far and so far all 4 have been normal". He said it could have something to do with metabolism. So he scheduled a Pulomonary Function Test along with a Indirect Caloricimetry for June 24th(??, dont remember for sure the name of the second one, but it will tell him if this shortness of breath is metabolism related or not). I saw the cardiologist and he is still treating me for tachycardia (again in layman's that means fast heart beat). He said if we dont get my heart to slow down I could go into heart failure. I am up to a total weight gain now of 55lbs in 6 weeks, and I am not even on prednisone....yet. They kept me on the nitro, cause it helps with the chest pains and shortness of breath that I get...

Well that about sums up the beginnings of a life of H3LL.....*sighs* The remission was nice while it lasted.

Love to all,

Steph
