Guest guest Posted May 10, 2004 Report Share Posted May 10, 2004 dear all, I m looking for a decent ankle/foot brace i have an UFO for night time splinting but i can t walk with it i can also hardly wear the same splint 24/7 for 3 years so i was wundering if any one has any ideas on an alternative for hte UFO night splint but i little more solid that i can wear during the day and that i can walk on , maybe even attempt riding a bicycle with? I m currently not ambulatory cuz i m not suppose to walk on the UFO and my right leg is still paralyzed so crutches is out of the question and it is driving me nuts i got an appoint ment next week with the doctor but i need an other alternative besides plastercast cuz i m not allowed to drive my car with a cast and i d be stuck even more then now at least i can get from A to B in the car and then take out the wheelchair but still I want/need something that makes me ambulatory again without damaging the foot more and giving it time to heal any info would be greatly appreciated ina orthobeer@...
