Guest guest Posted May 10, 2004 Report Share Posted May 10, 2004 My ankle brace is custom made with hinge-type movement. I can barely walk without it so I wear it all the time. It comes just below my knee and has been a godsend. The orthotist that I have is very good and has really helped me with my ankle problems. My arches are completely collapsed and I've been walking on the outside of my foot for years so my whole leg was twisted. The orthotist designed this brace to straighten me out and it's doing wonders. It also is set to keep my foot from going into a pointed position. It's amazing what they can do with custom-braces.
