Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I had my echo today, and I had the holter done for the 2nd time last Weds-Thurs. (Didn't get as bad of a reaction. Had a great tech who was VERY gentle and didn't scrub the flesh off me!) Turns out the lady who did the echo is my neighbour, so that was funny :-) Anyway, something weird happened twice that the echo caught. My heart was rolling along at 125-138 bpms when suddenly it dropped to 86 instantly. I don't mean declined, but suddenly dropped. 135, 132, 138, 131, 134, **86**. And I felt weird when it did that. I don't know how to describe it...my heart gave a little thud but not really a palpatation... Anyway the tech said whoa that is weird, quickly noted it down in my file, did a few views and was showing me the different parts of my heart on the screen when it happened again! 127, 132, 135, 130, 133, **88**! She immediately noted that in the file again and said that will definitly be listed in my report. So yes..weird! Does anyone know what that means? Then she tells me the tech is off on vacation and my Drs won't get the test results till late next week so I won't have an appointment until the 13th or 14th. Ohhh heck! I thought two weeks ago I'd konw the story. Darn waiting game! But I was fortunate to have a great tech and she explained everything on the screen out to me, and aside from that weird drop in heart rate structurally my heart, valves, chambers, and aoritic root are all normal. GREAT :-D Now we just have to get this crazy rate figured out (won't find out what the holter monitor results are until I see the internist) and what that drop meant, if anything. Thanks everyone :-) -Rhea PS> I had really bad nausea again today, and suddenly I remember that great GACH book Mike got me to buy. I looked up nausea, did two points, and I felt much better IMMEDIATELY! Can you believe it? Gosh I'm so thankful for the help Mike! Accupressure really **does*** work, you just have to try it :-)
