Guest guest
Hi Deanna, When I read your response to , I was really intrigued. You had a negative ANA for a while but you were still diagnosed with Lupus? What other indicators did they use? My ANA is negative but the DNA tests are positive. I often have a high CR-P and low white cells. I do have Rheumatoid Arthritis and the doctor is trying to figure out if I only have RA or if I have Lupus, too. I do have photosensitivity and am prone to some very odd rashes on my face and thighs. Nothing clears them up and they go away when they're good and ready...sigh. I've long had vascular problems and had to move to a warm climate because of the way the cold affected my blood vessels and nerves. My rheumy said that it's not likely to be Lupus unless the ANA is positive but she hasn't ruled it out because of the other test results. I just want to know what's going on with my body and what I need to do! The rheumy put me on Plaquenil and Methotrexate because she said they're helpful for both RA and Lupus. I'm feeling a bit better but not by much and I'm wondering how long it's going to take for them to figure everything out and get me the treatment I need! Any advice? -Anne
