Guest guest
Maybe someone can help me. i went to the dermatologists on Tuesday. I had this rash on my shoulders. he said it was a fungal thingy from the sun...he gave me Nizoral 200 mg. to take for four days, one pill per day. Well i took it on Tuesday and Wednesday...On Wednesday I got light headed...but last nite, when i went to the bathroom, my urine was extremely hot...not that it hurted or anything, Yet, but it was very hot and that area stayed that way for about thirty minutes...same thing this morning...i called the dermtologists, he said to stop taking the meds...i also called my nephrologists who is treating me for thin basement membrane disease, he is going to call back...Have any of yall ever taken this drug... I read the literature on line and it said something about liver damage...idk...I am just waiting for the nephro. to call back. chippy
Guest guest
Chippy, I don't know about Nizoral, but I've take Diflucan for about 6 months. It is also an anti-fungal medicine and I've had liver test every month to check the enzymes. I don't know if two days of taking it can cause liver damage, but it's good that you have stopped the medication until you know what is going on. Also, please do not forget that all of us react differently to medications. Maybe that was your reaction, showing you this is not for you. In moments like this we have to listen to our instincts and our body. Mojo Re: nizoral (ketoconazole 200 mg) > Maybe someone can help me. i went to the dermatologists on Tuesday.
