Guest guest
Hi Jill: The Rheumatologist at St. Mike's was a total bust. He did not even palpate Meaghan's joints. I felt like he was baiting me the whole app't and asked what testing I thought was needed rather than bring his years of experience and knowledge to the problem ...even though I provided Dr. Grubbs note. He did not think Meaghan was particularly hypermobile despite having walked on her toes since 18 mos. Strange, strange app't. Perhaps the fact that Meaghan was having arrhythmia at the time had some bearing on his approach as he did check hher radial pulse and made absolutely no statement re the arrhythmia. He did order a bone scan and thyroid testing as I requested but I am not going back to him! Meaghan deserves a Rheumatologist who will bring some expertise to bear. I have an app't with Dr. Tanenbaum at end of May but if his approach is similar then I do not intend to subject Meaghan to a repeat performance. What is Tanenbaum like and what testing is usually done by these guys? What should I be asking for? Regards Bernie
