Each veggie or fruit has its own special benefits & nutrients to be used for

specific deficiencies & diseases.

This info is from: " Make your Juicer Your Drug Store " by Dr. L Newman.

It's good to realize that green leafy veggies have the most oxygen/alkalinity in

them. The darker the green color, the more is in them. Most of us are oxygen

poor so are acidic/toxic because it's lacking in our air & soil & veg/fruit

produce nowdays.

It's good to mix yellow or orange veggies (or fruits separately) with green or

blue (like celery) ones to get all the phytonutrients from the full rainbow

spectrum which provides all the necessary vitamins, minerals, proteins & oxygen

needed for balance. A little beet juice provodes the red energy.

SPINACH JUICE: (green)

Spinach is one of the richest sources of Vitamins A, E & G, as well as

containing a good supply of iron. It is advised for the corrrection of glandular

disturbances, goiter, overweight, anemia, weak eyes & constipation.

CHARD JUICE: (blue-green)

This is a vegetable which is not used often enough. It is a rich source of

calcium, potassium, sodium, phosphorous, chlorine, sulphur & iron, as well as

being a good source of vitamins. It is a little higher than celery in all the

minerals except sulphur, & can be used at any time in place of celery.

CELERY JUICE: (blue)

This juice is almost as great a favorite as carrot juice because of its

favorable effect on the nerves & also for its power to dissolve calcium deposits

in the system, such as occur in cases or arthritis, high blood pressue,

hardening of the arteries, and stones. It has had great success where there has

been inflammation of the nerves, such as rheumatism, neuritis, lumbago,

sciatica. As it is highly alkaline. It is valuable for correcting inflammation

of the urinary tract, although it is not as healing as the carrot juice.

CARROT JUICE: (orange)

On account of its sweet, delicious flavor, this is the most popular drink of all

the vegetable juices. But it has much more than mere flavor to recommend it, for

it contains practically all the range of minerals & vitamins required by the

body, being especially high in Vitamin A, the healing vitamin. This makes it of

inestimable value in cases of catarrh, asthma, hay fever, catarrhal deafness,

bronchial trouble, lung trouble, for the lvier, gall-bladder & kidneys, or for

any place in the body that is lined ov covered with mucous membrane. It has been

used successfully in cases of ulcerated & cancerous conditions, gall stones &

kidney stones, for improvement of eyes, for beutifying the hair, skin & in fact,

for making any part of the body healthier & for restoring pep & energy.

BEET JUICE: (red)

Beet juice is not stressed nearly enough as almost miraculous results have been

reported in so many cases of anemia [iron deficiency], low blood pressure,

suppressed menstruation, heart trouble, poor circulation & low vitality. It is a

good blood cleanser as well as builder, & so is used in cases of eczema &

psoriasis. It is not recommended where diabetes is present. In juicing, a little

of the top (greens) should be used.

APPLE JUICE: (yellow)

This is a good cleanser of the digestive tract, buing mildly laxative. This

cleansing action frequently causes gas distress, & so is not advised before

going to bed. It is useful in cases of catarrh, sluggish pancreas, as a cleanser

of the gall bladder & liver, & for rheumatic fever. On account of its silicon

content, it is recommended for hair, skin & fingernails.

PARSLEY JUICE: (green)

Parsley is one of the richest sources of Vitamin A & also is rich in C, B, has

some E, and is high in iron. It is best known as an aid to the optic nerves, but

is also recommended for improving the func tioning of the female organs, for

anemia, liver & gall bladder troubles, and for improving the skin & mucous

membraines. It should be used in limited quantitites, - aoubt one half glassful,

well diluted with other juices, being sufficient to take during one day.
