Guest guest
Well, after spending nearly miserable holiday weekend. (had a goodish day Monday, and rode the bus down the beach just to do it) I finally got a new doctor, who seems pretty easy to get along with. He actually spent TIME with me, which was very reasuring. Have to go tomorrow and get my bloodwork done, and have to call the new specialists (GI and Rheumy) but am encouraged because the office told me that these doctors actually are taking patents NOW, and that I wont be waiting forever. I suppose I should be happy that my medical needs will be taken care of, but am too stressed out. Tell me if you think this is fair: I am part of a welfare to work program while I am waiting for my SSD. I have to go to a work program where I have different things to do that count as " hours " if I don't complete 30 hours of work per week (5 buisness days) I am ineligible for my cash grant, and my food stamps and medicaid could be denied. (fine, I understand that, BUT) This week was a 4 day week. In addition, I was home under doctor's orders for tues and wed, and Thursday (today) I was required (by the work program) to take a written exam, which took up most of my day. Tomorrow I'm back in the doctor's office. Tues, Wed, Fri, I have WRITTEN notice from my doctor to work program that I can't be there, SOOOO.... the verdict is, that tomorrow afternoon after my bloodwork I have to complete 30 hours minimum, 40 if I want my monthly bonus. If I don't make 30 hours worth of work I could loose my benifits... FOR A MONTH. as me again why I'm always stressed out...
Guest guest
Kare, That doesn't seem fair!! I hope you can get things worked out. Maybe you can find a sympathetic ear. I'm glad you found a good rheumy though. -Tana > Well, after spending nearly miserable holiday weekend.
