We were told last December that he had a mild murmur. Right now Syd takes lasix and another heart medicine that I can't read the name of so I have no idea what it is. Doc gave him some nitroglycerine in his ear too. He is resting comfortably right now and his breathing isn't labored like it was yesterday. Boy was that scary. He had gone outside for a little relief and when he came back inside he just collapsed with his tongue hanging out the side of his mouth struggling so hard to breath. It is so hard to watch him act so sick.........it breaks my heart. I'm supposed to keep checking his gums to make sure they stay nice and pink. The minute they turn gray or blue I need to take him back to the vet for oxygen. .....how are you doing? I haven't read many posts over the weekend but I noticed you got a little sun Saturday. That's putting it mildly isn't it! Does it hurt much? I sunburn easily and have been burnt too so believe me when I say I know how it can hurt! I hope that won't affect your Lupus. Are you sun sensitive usually? You better take care of yourself girl! Hugs.... Karol Karol So sorry to hear about Sidney! Do the dr's know why it happened? Is he going to have to take meds for it? Pamper him and love him until he gets better. Guest guest Posted June 3, 2004 Report Share Posted June 3, 2004 Hi , I guess we are both having brain farts. I did tell you about the 6-MP. I took the information you gave me from WebMD about it with me to my appointment today. Which I might add was almost a complete waste of time. The doctor I was sent to is a doctor of internal medicine not a GI doctor, remember I was given the 6-MP for ulcerative colitis with absolutely no follow up. Well, this doctor said my PCM made "a dumb mistake" sending me to see him. Go figure. grrr What did come out of the appointment is a letter to my PCM stating that I need a referral to a GI doctor off base, we are retired military, remember. This doctor said that, in his opinion, I wasn't getting adequate care from my current GI doctor. So now.....I wait again for another referral. Nothing is ever easy is it! That's it in a nutshell. Now I'm going to bed. I would have liked to visit on the board more this evening but I don't feel real great. My ears are humming so loud, especially my right ear, that I can't keep my mind on track and I'm running one of those low grade fevers so I'm off to bed. Have a good evening.
