Guest guest Posted May 4, 2004 Report Share Posted May 4, 2004 I'm doing better. I had a relatively good night of sleep and it's been so-so today. Definitely not as bad as yesterday or the day before. I also had some beef broth this morning and no reaction so far. I have been resting. I was pretty much unable to do anything yesterday. I had some frozen food, I just defrosted it and voila, dinner. Didn't take Sebastian to karate, my neighbor did. The sofa was my kingdom. I'm still taking it very easy today because I get tired and out of breath very quickly, but I think I'll get away without going to a hospital this time. I used to belong to support groups for my fibro as well as adopting older kids. There was SO much fighting, name calling and all around nastiness that they had hardly any members when I quit them. Yes, we all loved but we love every member in the group for the individual qualities that each person brings here. If you did not set a high standard of behavior for this group and stick to it, we would have fallen apart a long time ago. Part of why I had to go no mail for awhile was because losing made me think about all of you and what it would feel like if anything happened to any of you. When I got upset a year or so ago and stomped off in a pout, , the person YOU chose as your right hand helper talked some sense into me and here I am. I know that whatever is going on in my life, whether it's lupus, fibro, my goofy sister or my kids, there is someone here to listen. Lot's of people to listen and who have been right where I am. In my fibro group one lady mentioned that she had a dog in one of her posts and was reprimanded by several moderators that she was off topic. She left. Good Lord here we are off topic more than we are on and yet we are still "supporting" each other. That's what it is all about. I have been so worried about you and Mike that I pray for you both before I log on and start reading that everything is okay with you. I pray for the whole group as well, but I am REALLY worried about you two. Anyway, I will step off my soapbox now, please take care of yourself. You have surrounded yourself with many capable hands to run this site while you relax and take care of you.
