Guest guest
I read a good book the other day. It's called " Women living with Multiple Sclerosis " by Judith Lynn Nichols. The lady writing takes (with their permission) excerpts from her on line group of friends who all have MS. It's a very frank look at what it's like to live with MS, and there is so much in there that can apply to those with FM or lupus too. Like their attitudes towards their illness, their family's attitude, working, doctors, etc. They even mention strange symptoms that I didn't know anyone else had, like they mention hearing voices in white noise or things like that. I use to tell dh on occasion, it sounded like someone have a " Charlie Brown's teacher mutter " conversation when it was on. I thought I was just weird or on the verge of some strange mental problem when I heard these " voices " . It's never clear, always like it's a muffled sound. Anyone else have this? Anyway, if you want to read a book and go " that's just like me! " , I suggest this one, even if it's not about fibro. Darcy
Guest guest
Hi Darcy I really liked that book too. I read a lot of books on MS, just because it is similar (feeling) in a way. That's interesting, guess I'll have to check some more out and read them. Thanks for the tip. Darcy
Guest guest
If your sister didn't read Lander's book, can I suggest that one too? It is uplifiting. Fall Down Laughing: How Squiggy caught Multiple Sclerosis and didn't tell nobody. That is the title. It is warm and funny, she'd love it! Guest guest
If your sister didn't read Lander's book, can I suggest that one too? It is uplifting. Thanks. My sister is going to be doing a lot of reading this spring. Take care, Irene Books may well be the only true magic Alice Hoffman.
