Guest guest
Ok, these isn't quite the trouble that some of you are facing right now, but I thought I still needed to whine a bit. I just found a new rash today, it's on my hands. It's tiny bumps that are a little red. This kind of matches the bumps that you can feel, but not see on my chest just below my neck. I'm tired of developing new symptoms or things wrong with me every couple of months. I've developed like at least 7 new symptoms (I stopped counting then, I got too depressed.) in less than the last year. These may match the rash I developed on the lower half of my body last spring. The one that the dermatologist just dismissed as nothing. There is no sense going to see the dermatologist as he just poo-pahed my list of complaints the last time I went to see him. This included the red rash across my checks and nose that four years ago he said could be pre-rosacea. It wasn't very prominent that day, so he dismissed it as either rosacea or lupus rashes. I'm tired of struggling, of fighting and trying to make my way through these waters. I almost feel like giving up, but I know I can't do that. Yes, I'm already on antidepressants, but on days like these, things are just worst. My swallowing problem has gotten worse and the doctor sent me for a barium swallow. At the beginning of the procedure, the tech asked me if I had every had one. When I told her " yes " and it showed GERDS, she said " oh, well that's all of your medical problems, right? " I told her no, but when I said none of them affected the esophagus, she didn't note them. Mid-way through the procedure she asked me if any of my other problems affected my muscles. I told her fibro and IBS. So I guess she saw something that didn't look quite right. Anyway, I just wanted to whine a bit. Darcy

Were you intubated when you were operated on? Where does it seem to stick? Neurologically, perhaps the flap that keeps food from going into your airway isn't operating properly. Aspiration pneumonia can be lethal. I've seen individuals with brain injury have this problem. Its DANGEROUS.

Something may have been damaged or swollen in your throat. I know the poprocks that I couldn't swallow because of the lack of the water, must have made my throat swell a bit since I noticed in increase in problems with swallow for several days afterwards. Guest guest
Thank you for your concern Territa, I don't know what is doing this, but I assume that since they had to go through the front of my neck and clamped everything to the side (the surgery lasted over 2 hours), so I figure all my parts are trying to go to their original places! I promise to call if this doesn't subside by Thursday this week. LOVE & LIGHT, JULIE
