My heart ached when I read about how much would love a dog and I was thinking hard about ways to get her one. The idea about Lizzie kept nagging at me but I kept pushing it out of my head at first. I mean, Lizzie's my sweet little girl whom I almost lost to serious illness twice! When she was sick, I'd rock her in my arms and sing the hymn " All Things Bright and Beautiful " until she went to sleep. But I'm thinking that perhaps Lizzie was spared the fate of her brothers and sisters for a special reason. She fits the type of dog is looking for so perfectly. And while we love her dearly, I think it would be wonderful for her to bring joy to someone and also to receive totally undivided attention.
