Migraines....

I bought Gach the end of December, and I think it was in late January when I

got the " maintenance " routine into habit.

I was having full-blown head-stabbing, moaning when I was conscious

uncontrollably, nauseous I think simply from the intensity of the pain,

headaches that

would start when I woke up and continue until evening. I've run in cycles of

them in my life, having them for a year or two, then not for a year or two;

when I had them, they averaged about one every two-three weeks.

I was four-five months into one of my cycles with them; in December I had

three, four in January, one or two in February....and none (an occasional

regular

headache, no migraines) until this week's. It started toward morning. I let

it start because I didn't get conscious enough to do something about it, and I

was starting the nauseous phase when I began working on my neck points,

shoulders, and anything else I could remember that was appropriate...and it

receded

within a couple hours, instead of taking all day. I had a nagging, memory of a

headache, but almost nothing after about 11:30, 7-8 hours ahead of schedule.

So I'm quite pleased with this....

Mark - so basically you are using various Gach acupressure points

when you feel the beginings of a headache? I have Gach so I know the

points.

I've been thinking about doing an acupressure sequence serveral

nights during the week - even without sypmtoms - head off the

headaches well before they can begin. I've greatly reduced the

number of headaches I get - but even one is too many!

Sorry to hear about your teeth, but sure am glad you were able to

find a good dentist!!

So I'm quite pleased with this....

____________

I know exactly what you mean. I have never had true migraines but

some of the tension headaches I used to get were just about as bad.

To be virtually headache free for almost two years now has been a

real blessing in my book.

And you are not alone in being " quite pleased " with your success at

it. I have said it before but I will repeat myself again here.

Emails like yours, where someone has taken one of my suggestions,

tried something, and gotten results, is my " payment " for the time I

spend on the board doing this.

It ranks right up there for me with seeing the look on someone's

face (particularly a skeptical OT or PT who has never experienced

energy work) and I work on them in a class and " something " happens.
