Hi guys as some as you may already my DH a wonderful man was being

investigated for a brain tumour this has now been confirmed.

We have known for a long time, his symptoms were too close for it not

to be.

In our heart of hearts we were hoping it wasn't that, but hell we

were lying to ourselves.

In six weeks he has to go into hospital for lots of tests (60 miles

away) for five days, neither of us are looking forward to that, this

will establish which treatment he needs and what type of tumour it

is, they think it is probably 'Cushing's syndrome' because it has

ripped his body apart big time and all his body chemistry hardly

exists anymore.

His health has really suffered so this help is much appreciated and

needed....we are just scared and alone.

Thanks for listening.

Oh, Louisa, I hope you two don't feel all alone. I know we are all

so far away, but is there anything we can do? I know we can hardly

offer babysitting or meals, but is there anything we can do? We will

for sure be here when you need to vent and let off steam and, of

course, to offer prayers for your dh. I just wish you were here so

we could come over and give you breaks and hugs. Are your families

close to help with the girls? I know you are strong, because you have

proved yourself to be with the troubles with the girls, but please

don't feel that you have to do this alone. We are here. Leggs

I am so sorry to hear this is happening to your family. Please don't feel

Praying for good news when he has his tests. Hugs to you all.

I'm so sorry to hear this Louisa. You must be devastated.

My friend's husband had a brain tumor. It was a really hard thing for them

to go through, but he's recovered since surgery.

It sounds like your husband's is a good bit more serious than my friend's

husband -- not that a brain tumor is ever a minor thing.

I hope it is not as bad as they think and he does well with the treatment.

This must be very frightening for you both. I wish I had some magic

words...but there aren't any. I know that when my dad was diagnosed

with cancer, there was just this stunned feeling...

Scared perhaps...but not alone. We are here for you. Please keep us

in touch on this one. Are they going to be able to do laser surgery

on the tumor (gamma knife)?
